Removing Bees

Q.   I was wondering if you know of a way to get rid of bees safely. I have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter who is allergic and the bee's love to hang out around her play set. I need some ideas.

You might contact the local county extension office or check the yellow pages and find a beekeeper. They can safely move them to a different site. I don't know what they charge, but a barter might be feasible.

We go camping regularly and we also had a problem with bees.  What we found that works is those glue traps for mice. Just pour a little soda pop on the trap and set it in a place away from the "main attraction". The bees are drawn to the sweetness of the soda and  then they get stuck. I found the traps at our local dollar store.   They were four for $1.
