A NOTE FROM RANDAL

Hello Everyone,

This is the first time since we implemented the forum that there were no new topics. I am sure many of you are not thinking about frugal ideas but focused on holiday preparations instead.

Holidays can be lots of fun or they can cause us to get more in debt, very easily. With that thought in mind, I really encourage you to read Greg Moore's article below. Donna and I got out of the debt cycle and we are so glad we did. We hope if debt bothers you that you will take the necessary steps to avoid the debt trap this year and from now on!

This will be the last issue you until next year. The normal The Frugal Life News that is sent out on the 26th will be cancelled due to the Christmas holidays. On behalf of Donna and I, we hope you have a very peaceful and uplifting Holiday Season and New Year.

THE CURE FOR BLACK FRIDAY DISEASE

"Wal-Mart announced sales of $1.52 billion on Friday, November 28, a single-day company sales record."

Black Friday - The, often frenzied, shopping day after Thanksgiving, when retailers hope to make or break their year.

Black Friday becomes a disease when you use debt to buy holiday gifts. Visa announced that spending on its cards during the two days after Thanksgiving was up 12%, to $6.5 Billion... sounds like an epidemic!
