Wonder why the paper bag didn't work as well as the cloth?  Maybe the cloth "absorbs" some of the wax and that's why it pulls it up from the carpet.

I have a similar problem. I heard about placing cloth over the waxed area and then heating the area with an iron. Haven't tried it yet. Is this what you did?

 I tried the paper bag over the wax and applying heat. Sadly, I report the paper bag and wax  are stuck together in the carpet. Any suggestions to rid me of this issue? I might just put the edge of the end table over the wax, if there are no tips, suggestions.
