Looking on the internet, I see many posts referencing a Dr. Rowen but going to his website I can't find anything that substantiates the use of DMSO in that manner.   He even is supposed to have an eye formula but that page is coming up blank too.  So I would require more evidence before I tried that kind of treatment.

DMSO and Me

Ive used DMSO for about 2 days. I got it from a feed store. It is 99% pure. Paid 7 bucks for 16oz. I mix it 50/50, 50%DMSO and 50% distilled water. You can mix it as high as 75/25 but not anymore. I added Arnica in liquid form and I use it on my shoulder. I have had pain in my shoulder for 3 months. It is or has gotten a lot less since using it. I put it in a spray bottle so I can get the back of the shoulder as well. One thing I was told is to make sure the area you are going to put it on is clean and dry. Do not use gloves to put it on. Use clean hands or a cotton ball. If your skin is fair mix in aloe-vera so your skin wont itch. Also you can drink the liquid starting at no more than 2 teaspoons at a time. If you do 2 teaspoons and experience trouble back off the dose. The effects last for a short time. I would have liked to find it sooner. Man I sleep well too. Nuff.

two questions: using 99.9% DMSO, how much should be mixed with how much water, as a drink? presently I am unemployed and am seeking employment which brings us second question: how long after ingesting this drink will the smell of garlic (or whatever) last? job hunting is bad enough without smelling bad. and my reason for taking it, is in hopes that it will rid me of COPD. I did smoke for 45 years, and quit 15 years ago. a quick response will be appreciated. thanks. Carl

I have had bladder incontinence for years. A doctor recommended drinking an ounce of DMSO a day for it. Believe it or not - within about 10 days, I am no longer incontinent! I am a 73 year old Certified Nutritional Counselor, and Licensed Acupuncture Physician, getting younger all the time. My husband and I use it daily for many problems - we buy it from a country feed store - for horses, of course!

As a pharmacist, I recommend DMSO to my customers. I tell them to get it from a tack shop, which is a horse shop. I have used DMSO off and on for 40 yrs. and am 62. My mother used it at my recommendation for her bad back and told me it was the only thing that relieved her pain. She lived to be 84. Now for you doubters their is a medical product Rimso-50 that is 50% DMSO. It is used for intersapplesial cysapplesis In other words you can put it in your bladder as a rinse, but the FDA will not ok it for topical use. Is that stupid or what. Just get some and use it. Burns, sprains, and many other injuries respond greatly to it and heal a lot sooner. Of course most MD's hate it because they do not understand what the hell it is and how it works. Sometimes they are educated idiots.

I have a friend who suffers from M.S. and also has arthritis. She has heard of a cream that is for horses but is being used for human arthritis. If any one can tell me the name of the cream, both she and I will very much appreciate it.

DMSO - how is works

My dad was a Bio Chemist and studied DMSO extensively in the 1960s and 70s. He used it extensively on himself and his 5 children. DMSO opens the membranes for every cell it contacts. And we are not talking about just a little bit. If we were talking houses, the front door just became the garage door. It opens these membranes very big. This has positive and negative consequences. On the positive side, the natural healing of the body is aided because all the nutrition in the neighboring cells can be used to repair the injury very quickly. My father's tests indicated that tissue damage can be repaired in less than half the time (actually closer to a third the time). And very little if any scarring. In fact, it build skin so efficiently and is such a powerful solvent that it can actually dissolve pre-existing scars over time. But it is most effective when used immediately after the injury. I also allows other topical medicines to be absorbed efficiently through the skin. However, this is also the danger. You must be careful and avoid topical contact with ordinary household cleaners and other poisons. If you would not drink the item, then you better not allow it to touch your skin because you can literally drink it that way. This is no exaggeration. When you apply pure DMSO to any part of your body, you will taste it in only two or three seconds: It travels that fast! You will smell it on your breath after a few seconds longer. This is a powerful substance and should be taken with extreme care as it will enhance the effects of other drugs---obviously. If you drink, expect to get drunk or overdose much quicker as your body will absorb the alcohol quicker. Don't play with it and just take it for granted that the side effect of any substance you combine with it will be enhanced (both positive and negative). I still use DMSO on my self and my own kids. If you remember the caution mentioned about about interactions with everything, you should be fine and you will be impressed.

I used DMSO 15 years ago to treat tendonitis in my knees and elbows. It went away and never returned. I've continued to play hockey and golf, both sports that are hard on the joints and have had no issues. I was cautioned by an MD however that over use could lead to the softening and possible rupturing of tendons. A lot for professional athletes use it and I would not hesitate to use it again should the tendonitis return. It does stink and you can taste it almost immediately after putting it on, but it's worth it if it helps relieve the pain and aids in the healing. Good luck!
