Not everybody is interested in gardening, but my favorite activity with my husband is to be outside nurturing and tidying up on our property. We garden because we are passionate about wildlife. Adding plants that will provide seeds for birds, nectar for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds (our pollinators), and making sure there's a lot of bushy wild areas for shelter and nesting. If gardening is not your thing, think of something else that you both could get interested in. It's special to delight in the results with someone else.

My husband is an amateur musician, so we go to as many free concerts and open mic venues as we can. There are usually at least one or two every week, year round, and even more during the summer months
