I used 'new' pots and the styrofoam peanuts instead of stones in the bottom of the pot. It made the outside of the pot turn white, also the top of the potting soil, too. I will go back to using stones.

I reuse all my styrofoam " To Go" containers. I keep a couple of different size ones in my trunk. When we eat out, I bring one in the restaurant with me to package leftovers. When I get home, I just clean and reuse again until I can't use it anymore. Then I start using my own plastic containers when I run out.
