I give my kitties a little bit of cream on a saucer. It doesnt seem to upset them at all. Also, since it is just a little treat, you can always give them a "little bitty", which is just a piece of dried cat food. Also, my kitties love cheese.

I wonder if goat milk is a better alternative (for those with access to it anyway)?

I thought milk was not good for cats.  Over the years I've read quite a bit about it not being digestible.  I searched online to see if this was still being mentioned and it seems to be a problem with the lactose in it and the cat not having the enzymes needed to digest it.

This mentions that cream may be a better option and also gives the name of a new milk for cats without the lactose:

Hi Mari, i'm new too!

I have a friend who makes stuff for her cats, i asked her for the recipe and here it is (hope your cats like sardines!):

Cat Cookies Recipe (makes 24)

7 oz mashed sardines
1/4 cup dry non-fat milk
1/2 cup wheat germ

Mix ingredients & roll into 24 small balls. Place on greased baking tray, and flatten with a fork. Bake at 180C/350 F until brown (about 15-20 mins).

She says she got it off the internet, i'll try and find out where!

Hi everyone!  I'm new here!
Just wondered if anyone had a recipe for kitty treats.
I have several for home made dog biscuits but wanted to
try something for cats.  Thanks

Mari
