Getting a home inspection is a good idea even with a new house.

I recently watched a show on T.V. where they did an energy audit on a new home.  It was amazing to see that the builders left large open areas in the attic where warm air from below could creep out into the attic through the insulation.  It's very easy to fix these cracks with a product that you spray into the cracks and sets up in less than 20 seconds.  Just a little information / tip for anyone who is looking to cut their heating bill this winter.  Here in Northern  California it has been in the 20s for several days already and we're in the process of doing this to our home right now.  I wish we had known about this earlier...
