help me please

 We have recently moved to a 60 yrs old apt. Its on the first floor and smells like poop. we called the manager several times they brought someone with a little handy device and ruled out that there is nothing wrong. My face starts burning when I come home. my bones even hurt when I am at home. I am worried for my two kid's health. we have 11 months lease. what should we do? is there any government agencies to call for help?.
