Clutter/Organizing / Re: LAUNDRY SORTING AREA
« Last post by nicky.brews on April 21, 2013, 12:32:42 AM »
Laundry sorting can really ease a mother's workload so I always remind my kids to help me out by this simple task. I invested on this laundry sorter. It saves me time and effort. I need not to take each cloth out and classify if it's colored or white, if it's undies or not. When it's laundry time, I just get whatever is in that bin and shoot it right on the machine. If one's budget is limited, I think a DIY bin like the one you did is also an option. It doesn't matter if it's paid or not as long as we can save time and money on it. :)

Personal Care / DMSO/DIMETHYL-SULFOXIDE
« Last post by ci'ci' jones on March 20, 2013, 06:45:42 PM »
Thank you for allowing me to ask my questions!!!!!! I am in excruciating lower back pain!!!! I have tried "ALL" pain pills,(thank god, they don't work I quit taking them, right? Then I would be taking for all the wrong reasons!!!) Oxycodone, morphine, methadone, codeine, alive. I guess you get the pitcher!!!!! I remember.....when I was a kid....33 year's ago = 49. We used something on horses. I always had bad knees, so someone threw me a can of something we also use on horses to rub on my knees. I "thought" it was "RED-CELL". I pulled up on computer, Horses, and Humans. And, up pops "DMSO"! OMG! It was everything I would hope for. Doctors I'm seeing, aren't trying to fix me, they use a little this and that. No more than numbing agent, just like the dentists office!! ( that way we just keep coming back ) Hospitals and, pain clinics don't make there money off of healthy people. 'SO'. What do you think of "99.9% pure DMSO-DIMETHYL SULFOXIDE" I have been using it for a week 1/2. 4-5 time's a day, and night. I use the clear gel in round white 4-1/2oz container.  Please! I so "APOLOGIZE' for going on and, on. I'm so stressed out on my pain issues and, have no one to really hear me, and understand chronic pain!!!!!!!!! Thanking you in advance.       CI'CI'

Utiliities / Re: propane
« Last post by Forum Admin on March 14, 2013, 09:54:34 AM »
Hello,

Propane is a fuel that has been used for many years on farms and rural homesites where natural gas wasn't available.  Looking on the internet there are many articles about the use and safety of propane.  So, I selected this webpage to hopefully help you to understand propane use more fully.

Utiliities / Propane is cheaper...if your carefull
« Last post by Austen on February 16, 2013, 07:50:06 PM »
I grew up in a Propane heated house.  My parents bought (not rented) a 1000 gallon tank and just purchase their propane in the summer for the rest of the year from whoever in town is the cheapest.  usually ends up being between $0.90 to $1.30 per gallon.  I live in North Dakota by the way so the Furnace has to work overtime most of the winter around here.  The tank is usually filled with 800 gallons and that lasts us till next summer. the bill usually being between 850 and one year it got to almost 1000 but you split that down by 12 months and thats 70 to 83 dollars a month or if you just want to count the cold months around here divide it by 7 or 8 and you get 142 a month at the most.  Not sure who you are all doing business with but you are getting screwed.  Also propane may cost more in your areas...its best to do research on whats the cheaper commodity in your area.

Miscellaneous / Re: DMSO for Human use - health
« Last post by Forum Admin on February 12, 2013, 07:17:56 AM »
Looking on the internet, I see many posts referencing a Dr. Rowen but going to his website I can't find anything that substantiates the use of DMSO in that manner.   He even is supposed to have an eye formula but that page is coming up blank too.  So I would require more evidence before I tried that kind of treatment.

Gardening / low level of water on the stem
« Last post by Eric W on February 10, 2013, 07:11:57 PM »
I read that using a vase that was short and squat to hold a fair amount of water helps. Since water high up on the stem deteriorates the stem. I have a weird little vase like affair that has a cluster of pins in the bottom that the stem sticks on and it seems to  keep the flowers fresh longer, but maybe it is the low level of water in the short  squat container. It looks like a flying saucer with a hole in it where the stems go. Just a though.
