I have 2 smaller recipes for Fudge with evaporated milk in them.
Heavenly Chocolate Fudge
2 1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine
3/4 cup evaporated milk
5 to 7 oz. marshmallow creme
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts …pecans, almonds or walnuts
Boil marg., sugar, and milk for 5 minutes, stirring constantlyl Remove from heat, add marshmallow creme, chips and nuts. Stir til chips are melted. Pour into 9 in. greased pan and cool.
1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup (5oz can) Carnation Evaporated Milk
2 tablespoons butter/margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Line an 8 inch square baking pan with foil
Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy duty saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in marshmallows, chips,nuts and vanilla extract. Stir vigorously for 1 minuteor until marshmallows are melted. Pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan, remove foil, cut into squares.
