I have a simpler recipe for fudge that makes the best I’ve ever had homemade.
2 (12-oz. pkg.) cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 (14 oz.) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
LINE 8- or 9-inch square baking pan with foil.
COMBINE chips and sweetened condensed milk in medium, heavy-duty saucepan or double boiler. Warm over lowest possible heat if not using doubleboiler, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat; stir in nuts and vanilla extract.
SPREAD evenly into prepared baking pan. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil. Cut into pieces.
This is super simple. I have modified it a little by using only 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup white chips. This makes it firmer and more milk chocolately. You can also use some rasberry chocolate chips, or even add flavoring.
Around the holidays, I make up a bunch of this to give away at work and to friends. It usually doesn’t make it home from work.
