The Secret is simply a new face on an old idea. It’s the “name it and claim it” mentality. The secret says things like “The only reason you’re not successful is because you don’t believe you are.” or “You’re sick because you believe you can be sick.” It’s really quite silly. It’s a “secret” that has been protected for years and years andn has been protected, but it can be yours for 19.99 (for the DVD). The Secret is marketed to look and sound like the DaVinci Code. It’s a “Feel good and get everything you ever wanted with no effort and no accountability.” Of course it’s getting great reviews.
