we left our 15 year old cat alone for ten days while out of the country. someone checked on her daily. she has never ever not used her liter box until now. She used to throw rugs the entire time we were gone. Now that we are home we are not able to break this. what to do>>>she is inside cat spoiled always with us in what ever room we are in and very use to us being home all of the time. WE have left for a few days at a time before with no problem. we took her to vet and got a clean bill of health
Did the person that checked on her daily clean her litter box everyday also? Her reaction could have been to a dirty litter box. She might just be doing what worked for her when you were gone. Try picking up the throw rugs and using newspaper or piddle pads in their place until this is resolved.
