There are a number of free project patterns on About.com under sewing. I use my basic sewing skills for recycling many items-jeans, sweatshirts,etc. There are other “craft” related sites that give good directions on how to “recycle/reuse”. I also purchased a set of books over the years from Leisure Arts on Trash to treasures. They are now available through the library. Good Luck.
