I need to find specific places online to shop and save money. For example, today I need to find fabrics to make throw pillows to match my daughters’ beds. The “cheap” ones I found on the net were $8 a yard, $10 a yard, etc. That’s not “cheap”. I used to have a store near me that sold fabrics for $1 to $3 a yard but I moved to the next county so it’s not “around the corner” any more. Is there a site that lists frugal online stores?
I have bought nice fabrics from http://www.fabric.com, the website for Phoenix Textiles. I am on their e-mail list, too, and they seem like good folks, rather like the Frugal Life crowd.
They always have closeouts and sales at $1.95-$2.95 per yard, a huge selection of prints, lots of other stuff; the selection is always being updated. I have bought expensive silk from them as well, at a decent price.
